Quality Technician

Inspects coated parts for coating thickness, coating adherence, surface finish, substrate & coating hardness, size, and appearance, records inspection information consistent with prescribed methods and procedures. Conduct audits under supervision; control plan audits, product audits, 5S, HSE, QMS self-assessment and customer supplied audit forms. Maintain a clean workstation; ensure it is functioning within required safety guidelines, and maintaining lab equipment. Must be able to read and understand PFMEA and control plans. Ensure that equipment in inspection area is calibrated and bring to attention of supervisor on any non-conforming condition. Testing materials and finished products to ensure they conform to all applicable laws and company standards. Perform SPC Audits to ensure consistency with prescribed SPC charts and recommends the disposition of and/or acceptable corrective action for nonconforming parts within established Quality Assurance guidelines. Use precision measuring instruments and makes precision inspection set-ups.

We are seeking a candidate with: High School Diploma/GED;
Associate Degree is the minimum education required or related field experience is a plus! Atleast two years of experience working in a quality lab setting performing QC and QA testing procedures. Manufacturing environment is a plus! Proficient PC skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Good organization, time management and detail oriented. Effective communication skills.
