Expediting And Quality Control Engineer

Position Overview:We are looking for an experienced Expeditor / Quality Control Engineer to join the procurement team for a large-scale Oil Processing Facility (OPF) project in Iraq.The role will be responsible for supplier follow-up, expediting, inspection, and quality assurance of materials and equipment sourced from India, China and Eastern Countries, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with project specifications and international standards.

Key Responsibilities:Monitor vendor production schedules and follow up on manufacturing progress to meet project deadlines.Liaise with suppliers to identify and resolve potential delays in fabrication, inspection, or shipping.Coordinate and conduct quality inspections, FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests), and witness tests as per project requirements.Verify supplier compliance with project specifications, codes, and international standards.Prepare and maintain expediting reports, inspection records, and quality documentation.Work closely with procurement, engineering, and logistics teams to ensure smooth delivery to site.Report risks or deviations proactively and recommend corrective actions. Qualification Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.Minimum 5 years' experience in expediting and quality control within the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical sector.Strong knowledge of process plant equipment (rotating/static) and relevant codes (API, ASME, ISO, ASTM).Proven track record in vendor management and supplier quality assurance, preferably with suppliers in India, Japan, South Korea and China.Familiarity with EPC project procurement and QA/QC processes.Excellent communication and reporting skills in English (both written and spoken).Indian language is not must, but it will be plus.Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools for reporting and documentation.Willingness to travel to supplier facilities for inspections and expediting activities
