As an apprentice welder and fabricator you will be trained in all aspects of welding and fabrication.
During your apprenticeship you will work alongside our skilled workforce and gain knowledge of engineering materials. You will learn how to read engineering drawings, measure and mark out, and produce sheet metal components and assemblies to precision tolerances.
You will learn to do MIG/MAG and TIG welding and you will have the opportunity to experience various automated welding processes including robot welding, laser cutting technology and CNC LVD press brake procedures.
Apprenticeship Details
► Job Title: Apprentice Welding/Fabrication Engineer
► Apprenticeship: Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Welding and Fabrication
► Expected duration: 4 years
► Location: Simonstone, Lancashire (First year is spent at a selected training provider, off site).
► Hours of work: 38 hours per week
► Qualifications on completion: Level 3 Diploma and a HNC.

A minimum of 4 GCSE's at Grade 4 with a preference of Grade 5 in Maths, English and Science.
