Position overview
allnex is looking for a Tax Intern to join our GBS Tax team to support our global tax team in managing Corporate Income Tax (CIT) and Withholding Tax (WHT) compliance across multiple jurisdictions. This role provides hands-on exposure to international tax processes, reporting, and collaboration with global stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Support the coordination and management of global Corporate Income Tax (CIT) and Withholding Tax (WHT) compliance processes
- Assist in the preparation and filing of WHT returns, ensuring compliance with country-specific regulations
- Ensure mandatory tax withholdings are calculated and executed accurately
- Collect, organise, and maintain relevant documentation required for WHT compliance
- Conduct research on local tax legislation, including double tax treaties, and monitor regulatory changes
- Support the global CIT compliance process, including tracking and monitoring of filings across entities
- Assist in tracking, analysing, and reviewing CIT returns for global entities
- Support the review of IAS 12 reporting submissions, including preparation of workpapers for tax provisions during month-end and quarter-end close
- Assist in preparing internal and external tax reports for quarterly reporting
- Provide support on global tax projects and research on technical income tax matters
Required skills and experience
- Available to commit to a minimum internship duration of 6 months
- Has taken tax-related modules and possesses basic knowledge of taxation principles is a must
- Strong proficiency in English (written and spoken)
- Able to communicate confidently and express ideas clearly
- Detail-oriented with good organisational skills
- Comfortable working with data and collaborating with stakeholders across different regions
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field
