PURPOSE OF JOB: The Web Application Developer will provide R&D development support.
SKILLS
• Design, code, test, and debug existing and future web applications.
• Troubleshoot and document customer concerns / issues.
• Development skills - this is to be able to find a bug in the app, fix it, or, resolve database data issue.
• *Overall Java skills
• *Web User interface - GWT, Bootstrap
• *Java application user interface - Java Foundation Classes, AWT.
• *Networking - http, https, RestFul api.
• *Database - MySQL. SQL, Hibernate, HQL.
• *Frameworks: Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Rest, Spring Rest Template (Spring Http client), Hibernate.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS
Administration skills are needed to be able to redeploy the app, or figure out if the issue is caused by environment rather than app bug. Also environment monitoring like being able to setup db replication, take the backup, cleanup space of allocate/migrate more space.
• Amazon Web Services - good understanding of Aws Ec2 instances - Linux, Linux XFS filesystem, bash or similar scripting language.
• Amazon Web Services - Elastic Volumes.
• Amazon Web Services - DNS, SSL certificate configuration.
• Tomcat Web server.
• Apache web server.
• MySQL - database administration and configuration. Replication, communication between instances over SSL, database backups.
• Jenkins server

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 3+ years web development experience
