Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Sr. Magnetic Engineer located in Taiwan Taipei Wugu Site.

What a typical day looks like:

• Join the hardware architecture and product integration concept definition
• Develop magnetic component specification, design and simulation
• Work with suppliers to achieve trade-off between cost, performance and size
• Support component debug, validation, till to production
• Release design and test documents
• New tech study and sharing, technical documents writing
• Develop patents/trade secrets to protect company’s intellectual property

1)Design Main trf and PFC& inductor at high frequency

2)Simulate the combined main trf and PFC& inductor

3)Master Mn-Zn/Ni-Zn/Powder material characteristics

4)Master raw-material characteristics

5)Make the new samples with new machine and new process level

6)Manage the raw material & MP parts suppliers

7)Monitor the quality level of magnetic suppliers

8)Audit all the whole MP process level of magnetic suppliers

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Bachelor or above degree, major in Electronic Engineering or mechatronics.
• At least 3 years of experience in magnetic component design is required, such as power transformers, buck boost inductors, EMI choke, etc…
• Understand the technical specification of iron core materials grade level, as well as their suitability for various design applications
• Familiar with magnetic component design calculations and simulation operation
• Familiar with the production process and corresponding working hours of manufacturer
• Understand the safety regulations for magnetic component
• Experience in magnetic component simulation tool, such as Maxwell etc.
• Good command of read & write English, oral English will be a plus.
