The mold denicker removes nicks, performs repairs, and polishes molds by hand.
Specific Duties:
- Polishes cavities, vents and gates on molds by hand
- Performs repairs by hand on molds, such as de-nicking cavities, sanding lands, repairing mold cases, removing tool marks, etc.
- Details new molds and prepares them for release to production
- Operates pedestal grinder to sharpen polishing stones
- Analyzes mold problem(s)
- Follows safety rules

Education Required: Minimum education: 12th grade or equivalent. Must read, write and speak English.
Physical Requirements: Ability to sit up to 10 hours. Ability to work with hands under work light.
