Got the technical know-how and commercial drive to take our Optical range further?
Bowers Group are looking for a Technical Sales Manager – Vision & Optical to lead the commercial growth of our Optical measurement products across UK and international markets. Reporting to the Managing Director, you'll combine technical expertise with commercial thinking to grow sales, profitability and identify new opportunities.
You'll be the go-to technical expert for Optical systems, supporting customers, OEMs, distributors and our Sales team with product knowledge, technical solutions, quotations and product selection. You'll also present our products and applications to customers and commercial partners, helping them find the right solution for their needs.
A big part of the role will be looking ahead. You'll keep up to date with the Optical market, emerging technologies and competitor activity, using customer and market insight to spot new opportunities and support product improvements and future development. Working closely with Product Development, Marketing and Service, you'll help make sure our products and customer support continue to meet market needs.
There'll also be plenty of opportunity to share your technical expertise through product training and guidance, helping build knowledge and capability across the wider team. In return, you'll have the opportunity to lead a small, specialist team, grow an important product range and help shape the future of our Optical range within an established engineering business.
We're looking for someone with strong technical knowledge of optical measurement systems, backed up by proven commercial and sales experience in a technical product environment. Experience working with UK and international customers, OEMs or distributors is important, as is the ability to build strong relationships with both technical and commercial stakeholders.
You'll be commercially aware, proactive and confident working across different teams. Someone who enjoys sharing knowledge, developing others and providing technical training, while solving problems and looking for ways to improve the customer experience, will fit right in.
The role is site-based in Bradford, Monday to Friday, with UK and international travel as required. As travel is an important part of the role, a full UK driving licence would be needed.
