Mechatronics engineers:
- Process mechanical parts and assemble components into mechatronic systems
- Check the function of mechatronic systems, search for and eliminate faults, set the systems correctly and put them into operation
- Undertake mechanical and electrotechnical maintenance and carry out repairs to machines and systems at customers' premises in Germany and abroad
- Secondary school leaving certificate with two-year vocational school or intermediate school leaving certificate
- Skilled craftsmanship
- Understanding of technical and electronic contexts
- Important subjects: German, mathematics, physics and technology
